Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden
Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden covers a mountainous area of 560 acres. It is located around Km. 12 along the Mae Rim-Samoeng route. The garden is set up to exhibit plants according to species and climate. Visitors can drive around the area. Places to see include the Tourist Information Centre, the Thai Orchid Breeding Centre, Herbs Museum and Research Centre. It is open daily to the public from 8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.

Hill-tribe Village
The hill tribes people live a nomadic lifestyle and originate from Tibet and China. Traditionally, they are engaged in farming using slash and burn tactics, where the forest is cut down and burnt. When the land is exhausted, the move on to the next area. Many tribal people are abandoning their customs based on their beliefs in the spirit world and the annual agricultural cycles.

MaeSa Waterfall
This famous 8-tiered waterfall which is located at Km. 7 along the Mae Rim-Samoeng route is situated in a natural setting among towering trees and has a lovely breeze flowing throughout the year.

Nong Hoi Royal Project
The Nong Hoi Royal Project is situated in Nong Hoi Kao village in Mae Raem, it takes about 45 minutes via the Chiang Mai-Fang Highway. The former hill tribe poppy farmers are now employed by the Royal Project, and have turned it into a new agro-tourism and eco-tourism site. There is also an anti-drugs group for teenagers that provides recreation, sport and jobs, a housewives’ group to produce handicrafts, a school providing education up to Grade 6 and a public primary health service.

World Class Golf Course
There are two world class golf courses in the area, Summit Green Valley Country Club and Royal Chiang Mai Golf Club. The Summit Green Valley Country Club has 18 holes that surrounded by lake and mountains of Chiang Mai. Golfers who want to challenge playing during the night can go and try there.
